Obituary from Cathy Herren:  CathyDH@hotmail.com:  Sent my email:  Found it as a Newspaper Clipping in her grandpa's army trunk aong with a picture of Mary Belinda Henness Herren as a much older lady:
"Mary Belinda Herren

Mary Belinda Henness, daughter of Benjamin W. And Elizabeth Henness was born in Saline county, Missouri, on May 23, 1859.  She departed this life at Midwest City, Oklahoma on February 20, 1944. Her age at the time of death was 84 years, eight months and 27 days.

The deceased grew to womanhood in her native state and on July 4, 1997, was united in marriage with Ambrose S. Herren at Unionville, Missouri.  To their union nine children were born: An infant son who died soon after birth, Eva, Denver, Erwin, Henry, Mary, Irene, Alberta, and Delores.

Mr. and Mrs. Herren and their children moved to Alfalfa county, Oklahoma, in 1898, and purchased a homestead, four miles east and one mile south of Cherokee, now known as the Oras Fuller place.  In 1910 they moved to Cherokee where they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1937.  Mr. Herren passed to his eternal reward November 20, 1939.

Mrs. Herren became a Christian early in life and joined the Christian Union church. Later, on moving to Cherokee, she transferred her membership to the church, which she faithfully served to the day of her death.  She was always ready to speak for her Saviour and sometime before her death she wrote down her Christian testimony for all the read.  These are the words of that testimony found in II Timothy 4:7-8: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

Departing this life, she leaves to mourn for her, eight children: Mrs. Eva Heise Carter, Cherokee; Denver R. Herren, Winner, S. Dakota; Erwin B. Herren, Stockton, Calif.; Henry J. Herren, Ochelata, Okla.; Mrs. Mary Frances Beadman, Enid, Okla.; Mrs. Irene Hyman, Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. Albert Leonard, Midwest City, Okla.; and Mrs. Delores B. Klick, Cherokee; two sisters, Mrs. N. H. Brown, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Mrs. Blanche Preece, Leander, Texas; two brothers, Benjamin W. Henness, Supply, Okla., and Augustus Henness, Ottawa, Kansas.  There are twenty-five grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.  Besides these there are many other relatives and a great host of friends who join the immediate family in its bereavement.

Funeral services were held Satuday afternoon, February 26, at the Cherokee Friends church with the pastor, theRev. Herald E. Mickelson in charge.  Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Homer Carpenter, Mrs. L. P. Holliday, Mrs. Ralpha Andree, Miss Irene Robinett, Mrs. Herlad Mickelson and Mr. Willard Coppock.  Interment was in the M. W. A. cemetery."."
