Married 20 December 1919 a Virginian girl of fine family, Elizabeth English Smith of Culpepper, Virginia, daughter of Samuel Russell Smith. Paul went to school at public schools in Louisville, Kentucky. He became a civil engineer. In War with Germany, he enlisted in an Engineer Regiment which was one of the first body of troops to go to France and did not return until war was over. He was active duty all the time, and rendered a distinguished service. Married after his return from the war. Is now 1920 a civil engineer.
