Services for John Kane, 76, who died on an apparent heart attack Saturday, were held Monday morning in the Mt. Park Baptist Church.   Rev. Alvin funkhouser, pastor, officiated, Burial was in Mt. Park Cemetery under direction of Preston -Leckie funeral Home.
Born July 10 1891, at Chandler, he came to the cooperton community with his parents at the age of 11.  Later, the family moved to a farm near Mt. Park.
    He married Miss Eliza Brewer in Wichita falls on March 3, 1920.  They moved to a farm east of Mt. Park, where they lived until 1958.  He was a veteran of World War I and saw action in France.  Survivors include his wife: two sons, Aaron, Mt. Park, and Claude, of Oregon:  a stepsister, Mrs. Tommy Autrey of California, and four grandchildren."
